How to enable Smart search in Joomla 2.5 or how to switch on Smart search in Joomla 2.5

The new function in Joomla 2.5 is very interesting. Allows your site to show search results in real time. In other words CMS with search engine like Google suggestion.

Go to Admin panel Joomla 2.5

1. Go to Extensions -> Plug-in Manager

2. Open Content – Smart Search – the status of this plugin probably indicates Disabled plugin. Just press the white- red dot Enable it!

WAIT, this is not all.

3. Go to Components -> Smart Search

4. Discover the top right corner find Index – click on it.

5. You will see the following message – “Indexer running”. Wait.

You should see the following message.

“Indexing Complete

The indexing process is complete. It is now safe to close this window. ”

So far so good only remains to show the Smart Search in your site.

6. Go to Extensions -> Module Manager, Once again in the upper right corner select NEW
Discover Smart Search Module and select it. From here you can choose where to place modules with Smart Search
